A couple weekends ago, our daughter had a soccer tournament in the Dallas area that lasted Friday to Sunday. That meant three nights of my wife, our two daughters and me out of town, together. I won't say we were device-free, but we had a lot of fun making memories that happened just from spending time together.
Memories like trying to remember the words to a Christmas song, memories of our daughter making up a dance for when she scored a goal, and memories of watching classic Christmas movies together: Home Alone and The Santa Clause. Our world is normally very busy, but it was nice, for a weekend, to slow down and enjoy the little things.
Over the next couple of months, I hope you too get an opportunity to make memories together with those closest to you.
